Changing radiators
Radiators can be changed by draining the system down and replacing the radiator. Sometimes it is possible to freeze the tails so that work can be done without draining the system down.

Designer radiators
Nowadays, a range of designer radiators can be purchased to create stunning visual effects. These radiators are just as powerful and efficient as standard radiators. Towel radiators in bathrooms are very popular.

Cleaning the heating system
If a heating system is quite old and has not had a drain down and cleanse for a long time, we find that on rare occasions after we have drained the system, blocks caused by corrosion debris cause the system to be locked as if there is an air lock. Unfortunately, flushing the system as if there was an air lock is insufficient so a power flush is needed.

Radiator is cold at top
When a radiator is cold at the top but hot at the bottom then there is usually air at the top of the radiator which needs to be removed or 'bled'.

Chemical Flush
In a chemical flush, the system has some cleaning chemicals added and the system is run for several hours. Then the system is emptied and flushed with cold water before being refilled and inhibitor added.
